My inbox got flooded with music news from the readers apparently this was a big one and they were asking me to talk about this on the blog. So this popular band has called it a day and they have QUIT. Since we are in the 21st century and we have seen so many bands quit then reunite I am not sure what to think. I really hope that this is not a publicity stunt but I am shocked. This is one of those epic shocker moments.
On their website they say in a statement and I quote:
To our Fans and Friends: As R.E.M., and as lifelong friends and co-conspirators, we have decided to call it a day as a band," "We walk away with a great sense of gratitude, of finality, and of astonishment at all we have accomplished. To anyone who ever felt touched by our music, our deepest thanks for listening."
This is a great rockband an normally I don't usually talk about this but their music is really good. I wish them all the best. The team has been together for 31 years. That's a long time. So I want to know what are your thoughts on this? Are they going to reunite or is this the final curtains. Let me know what you all think about this.
