4 Sure Fire Steps To Creating More Effective Music

The benefits of creating and producing great music has been a standard in the music world.

By doing this, it helps you become a better thinker and exploring more creative options.

Step 1: Define a Goal

Your first priority in creating music is a goal because with out a goal it`s just a dream. The reality is that in music people have short attention spans when it comes to listening to music. If it does not have a connection with the listener than you have just wasted your T.M.E (time, money and effort). If you focus on one area this will help to manage your music and help drive the interest that you want.

Step 2: Create a Structure

From Justin Bieber`s album Baby, Baby, Baby to 100 Greatest Hits there is something in common with all music and that is the structure. The new generation of music has taken lessons from the greatest producers in the world and that is structure and the "hook" is key. What makes music effective whether you are producing it or playing it is the structure. It`s a fact that it takes 7-10 times for someone to remember something. In order to make your music effective you need to create something that is memorable to the listener. For example, when you are creating music for the first time the standard is:

Verse
Chorus
Verse
Chorus (Hook)
Bridge

However, most musicians and singers tend to shy away from this. If you are looking for that edge try to break away from tradition.

Step 3: Find an Audience

The most important thing about music is an audience because they are the ones that are going to be listening to it on their iPhone's or Blackberries (can't forget Android). Try to find out where they are. Your duty is to connect with them and share that experience.  Use social media, concerts, flyers and any other means to connect with them. This is what will make you different.

Step 4: Have Fun

When you have fun with your music it makes the job much easier. People enjoy when you are laughing and smiling because it helps to give you that drive and work "a little" harder.

I hope these steps help you to create more effective music.
