5 Of The Best iPad Apps for Guitar Players

With technology, Apple has been a game changer since day one. Apple has change the way we interact with the people around us and with the way we do things. I can't go anywhere with out my iPad, wallet and money. We all know the checklist..wallet..check..iPad...check...money...check!

For guitarists, these apps on either the I pad or even iPhone offer some unique and definitely cool features. I have used some that can tune your guitar to even recording an actual song.

With the many guitar apps that are out there it comes down to quality and not quantity. I have created a list, in my opinion, 5 of the best guitar apps for the iPad for guitar players. Is there any apps that you can recommend?

1. Guitar Toolkit

This app is by far the king of guitar apps. It's like a guitarist's toolbox on the go. You have a guitar tuner, metronome, a huge library of chords and scales in every key and a lot more. One of the things I really like about this app is that it has pictures and you can hear the actual sound.

2. 7 Chords

Don't let the name fool you, there are more than 7 chords in this comprehensive library. This is the chord library of chord libraries. Compared to other apps out there this program use the familar chord notation that you see in a chord chart or fingering book. The user interface on this app is very simple to use and allows for instant playback on your iPad immediately. You just have to tap to hear the chord being played.

3. Four Track

Four Track is a multitrack audio recorder for singers, guitarists, piano players and others who want to express their ideas on another level. This is a dream that many have dream about because it works ithbthe built in mic and any type of headphones. It was designed with the musician in mind from the spinnable pan wheel to the touch fader.

4. Pocket Guitar

This little app pumps out a lot juice literally. This little app turns your little iPad or iPhone into a vitual guitar powerhouse. From strumming to soloing you can do it all. You have the option of 6instruments- Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Classic Guitar, Muted Guitar, Ukulele, and even Electric Bass. Effects include Distortion, Chorus and Parameter Editing.

5. Riff

This app blew my mind because this helped me to improve my solos instantly. This app is not a gimmick, it's the real deal! Even though the one downfall to this app is that it restricts you the blues pentatonic scale there are so many options. You can mute, bend and do a lot more with this app. This makes creating and learning riffs cool and unique.
